The Astroparticle Physics European Consortium (APPEC) Technology Forum https://www.appec.org/implementation/technology generally offers opportunities for discussion about technical challenges of the Astroparticle (ApP) community often shared with the Particle Physics and Nuclear Physics ones, and to offer opportunities to foster communication between science and industry.

The APPEC invites experts from industry and academia to the APPEC Technology Forum 2020 (ATF 2020) as a continuation of a successful series of appointments in the past years. The ATF 2020 is dedicated to the subject of common interest with broad scientific and engineering communities, with a priority for “Robotics and operation of detectors in a harsh environment.” The aim of the ATF 2020 meeting is at uniting of scientific researchers and experts from industry, research institutes, universities dealing with the subject of the conference, which is the important aspects in many research and application areas, such as experiments in high-energy physics using colliding particle beams, space missions or satellites orbiting our planet, radiation therapy, nuclear power reactors (including severe accident monitoring).

ATF 2020 is organized by APPEC, NuPPEC, ECFA consortiums and by the Institute of Experimental and Applied Physics (IEAP CTU), Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics (CIIRC, both part of the Czech Technical University in Prague) and the National Radiation Protection Institute (NRPI).

The ATF 2020 meeting will take place at the CIIRC, Czech Technical University, Prague. The scientific programme will take place in Respirium conference room in the CIIRC (https://www.ciirc.cvut.cz/about/ciirc-ctu-building/). The building is situated in a strategic location in Dejvice, Prague 6, just 30 minutes away from international Václav Havel Airport Prague, or 20 minutes of walking from Prague castle with excellent public-transport access to the city centre.
